The inscription at the foot of the stone reads....

He Lives Deeply

Within Our Hearts,

Beloved And Not Forgotten

Stephen Elsden

Stephen Elsden is the cousin of Sgt. Stephen Preston and was named after him in his memory. At a Blackpool airshow recently (2002), he managed to get a tour of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster.

This photo is of Steve in the Mid Upper gunners turret, the place of work of his cousin Sgt. Stephen Preston.
